I seems to has a big problum. BSG (Big Scary Guy) has catched me onna kitchen counter sevral times tuday. Furmom was gittin' reddy fur werk & BSG was packin' up his lunchy. For sum reeson, I ducides I wants to be onna counter.
BSG done chased me roun' the house & telled Furmom he gonna kills me and various udder swares & not-nicies. I runned unner Not-So-Loud-Hooman's (Ashlee's) bed & Furmom comed & gots me & tooked me to saftee.
I don't know why I wants onna kitchen counter so muchy. But I gots to get that thot outta my kitteh hed, or else BSG is gonna kills me.
Anykitty has any ideas to helps me stay offen the counter?
I never get on the counters here, but I don't see what the problem is cause it is your house too!

DeleteHow about if you got a cat tree or something to perch on near the counter? The peeps could clicker train you to jump up there for a little reward. Some kitties just feel safest up high. Our Mommy has put sticky paper over spots she doesn't want us (sticky side up). It's a pain for the peeps, but we caught on pretty quick and stopped jumping up.

DeleteWe have sticky tape on the places where we like to scratch, we sure don't like that stuff, so it works for us.

(Supposedly, putting aluminum foil down will discourage kitties, but our Dad never tried it so no one knows for sure if it works or not)
Hmm, I dout furmom would do that. He does, affer all, contribute some green papers towards my foodies. But man o man, is he scarie. Sumtimes mine eyes gets as big as jumbo-super-duper-sized Reese cups wen BSG comes affer me. I gots to hit the dek.
